An Upgrade to the NWA Basketball Scene with Forge
Forge Performance Lab, a new athletic development center co-founded by Arkansas native and Los Angeles Lakers guard Austin Reaves, is now open in Lowell inside the Fitness One building.
On Point: The facility is built for young ballers who want more than traditional basketball coaching experience. Athletes get access to basketball skill work, strength training, recovery support, and individualized development plans.
From Deep: For Reaves, who grew up in Newark, Arkansas, Forge is the kind of place he wished he and his brother had as kids. Reaves who was at the grand opening last week said the goal is to give local athletes the tools, coaching, and structure to sharpen their game and keep more talent from slipping through the cracks.
