The Buffalo National River, the only national river in the United States, sits in Northwest Arkansas’s backyard, drawing heavy traffic from locals and tourists alike.
Paddlin’ Downstream: According to the National Park Service, the river saw 1.39M visitors in 2025.
Slow Summer: The most popular months were in June and July, averaging 250-300K each month, highlighting the river’s growing appeal as an outdoor destination.
