$335M Bond Package Up For Vote In Fayetteville

Fayetteville is asking residents to vote on a bond package that would invest about $335M across nine bond questions covering key city projects, all funded by continuing the city’s existing one-cent sales tax.
Why It Matters: If voters approve the first question to continue the current one-cent sales tax, the city can fund the nine proposed improvement areas without raising taxes. If Question 1 does not pass, none of the individual project questions will take place.
What’s Included: Planned improvements include water and sewer upgrades, fire safety facilities and equipment, road and pedestrian infrastructure improvements, a modern animal shelter, expanded recycling and sustainability facilities, parks and recreation improvements, and a new aquatic center.

Cupid’s Kilometers To Run Through Downtown Bentonville
Cupid’s Kilometers returns on Saturday, Feb 14, bringing a fun Valentine’s Day run to the Downtown Bentonville Square.
Pick Your Pace: Runners can choose a 4K or 8K race, equivalent to 2.5 or 5 miles. Sign up solo for $35 or as a couple for $60. The race kicks off at 7:30a, with shirts guaranteed for early registrants.

NWA's First Mahjong Tournament
Mockingbird & Magnolia will host Northwest Arkansas’s first Mahjong tournament at Peel Mansion & Botanical Gardens in Bentonville on Friday, Mar 13, and Saturday, Mar 14.
Ease Into The Weekend: The Magnolia Classic kicks off with Social Open Play on Friday evening from 5:30-8:30p, featuring a happy hour, snacks, and two hours of relaxed mahjong.
It’s Tourney Time: Saturday’s mini-tournament runs from 9a-5p, with two divisions for all skill levels, morning mimosas, a boxed lunch, and an award ceremony to celebrate players’ wins and weekend memories.
