Celebrate The Lights of the Ozarks Parade At the Fayetteville Square

The Lights of the Ozarks Parade will wind through the lighted streets of Downtown Fayetteville this Thursday, Dec 5, at 6:30p.

  • Light Up: The Fayetteville Parks and Rec team spends 3300+ hours decorating the Square each year with half a million individual lights. Around 50 floats and groups will progress along East Ave, clockwise around the Square, and northward on Block Ave. Arkansas Fire Chief of the Year Willie Watts will be honored as Grand Marshal.

  • The Clauses: After the parade, Santa and Mrs. Claus will be available to greet visitors at Santa’s Workshop near the corner of Center Street and East Avenue. Santa will also be available from 6-8p on Dec 6, 7, 13, and 14.

The lights will be up to enjoy every evening from 5p to 1a until Jan 1. Learn more HERE.

Celebrate the season at the 3rd Annual Christmas in Cave Springs this Saturday, Dec. 7, with a full day of holiday activities, shopping, and giving back to the community.

  • Explore Local Makers: The event features a holiday craft market of over 100 local vendors spread across three large, heated tents to keep you warm while you shop. Attendees are encouraged to bring nonperishable food items to donate to local food pantries.

  • Fun For All Ages: Enjoy a petting zoo, pony rides, a kids’ game zone, food trucks, and visits with Santa and Mrs. Claus—even the Grinch!

Celebrate Local Music at the Gar Hole-idays Winter Showcase

Gar Hole Records’ Gar Hole-idays Winter Showcase is back for its third annual celebration, bringing two nights of incredible folk, country, and Americana music to Fayetteville on Dec. 6-7.

  • Gar What? Based in Fayetteville, Gar Hole Records specializes in folk, country, and Americana music with a flair for the unconventional. The label has become a hub for oddball artists and a cornerstone of Northwest Arkansas’ vibrant music scene.

  • A Stellar Lineup: Hosted at American Legion Post 27 and George’s Majestic Lounge, the lineup features returning favorites like The Lostines, Sabine McCalla, and Chris Acker, alongside newcomers Desiree Cannon and Mr. Sam & the People People. The Jones Center and goodmakerU are expanding the Raise NWA program, offering 36 nonprofit leaders from 18 organizations an opportunity to enhance their skills in 2025.
