Celebrate Local Veterans At The 2024 Field Of Honor

Happy Veterans Day! The 5th annual Bentonville Field of Honor will honor veterans this week with a display of 250 U.S. flags in a field near 2812 Central Ave in Bentonville.

  • Behind Each Flag: The Field of Honor is hosted by the Rotary Club of Bentonville. Each flag in the display represents an individual veteran, and the proceeds from each sponsored flag benefit local first responders, the Bentonville Public Schools ROTC, and Rotary Club initiatives.

  • Celebrating Veterans: A Veterans Day Ceremony will be held near the flag display today, Nov 11, at 12p, with a VIP lunch for veterans beginning at 11a. The flag display will remain open for the community to visit until through Nov 16.

NWACC’s Free Robotics Program For High School Students

High school students in Northwest Arkansas can now apply for NorthWest Arkansas Community College’s free robotics program for the upcoming spring semester.

  • Tech Skills: As part of NWACC’s STEM I2A: CTE Innovation Incubator Accelerator, the program offers hands-on experience in robotics, electronics, and automation. The spring program is open to juniors and seniors from 15 schools.

  • Mr. Roboto: About 72 students will be admitted to the program at different locations, with the opportunity to enroll in three distinct time openings. Students can earn 12 concurrent college credits and three industry certifications within the first year.

There’s No Place Like Gnome: November’s Art on the Bricks
