The Fall Craft Fair returns to the Washington County Fairgrounds in Fayetteville, Thursday, Oct 16, through Saturday, Oct 18.

Former Home of Bud Walton To Transform Into Botanical Garden

The former home of Bud Walton will soon blossom into a botanical garden following a unanimous vote from the Bentonville Planning Commission.

  • The Backstory: Built in 1938, the home was purchased by Walton, brother to Sam and Co-Founder of Walmart, in 1980. After his passing in 1995, the property changed hands and most recently sold for $8M.

  • From Home to Garden: The Peel Compton Foundation will manage the 2,930-sqft property after a $0 ownership transfer this summer, with plans to develop a botanical garden and renovate the home to include a tea shop, public restrooms, and office space for the team.

Crystal Bridges Breaks Ground On Outdoor Playscape

Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art officially broke ground last week on a new outdoor playscape.

  • A Touch of Everything: The Ozark Discovery Canopy will sit in a wooded area between the museum and the parking plaza near the North Forest, inviting all ages to experience art, architecture, nature, and wellness together.

  • Coming Soon: Expect a natural creek, a lounge with swings, a family-sized slide, and more when the space officially opens in 2026.

Coler Mountain Bike Preserve Celebrates 5 Years

Coler Mountain Bike Preserve is celebrating five years as an NWA outdoor destination with a pop-up event at the Coler Homestead on Friday, Oct 17, from 9a-2p.

  • An Outdoor Hub: The preserve transformed from a family farm into one of the region's most beloved mountain biking and outdoor destinations, becoming a gathering space where families connect with nature and riders explore miles of trails.
