The PokeKon Fest 2025 hits the Hilton Garden Inn in Fayetteville this Saturday, Oct 18, from 10a-5p.

NWA Outdoor Filmmaker To Attend Prestigious Banff Film Festival
Fayetteville-based film group BLK ELK has been selected for the 50th Anniversary Banff Mountain Film Festival following the release of its outdoor documentary, Jaunt.
The Power of Mother Nature: The four-minute film follows an overworked young professional who finds peace through mountain biking, capturing the joy of adventure and the restorative power of nature.
Creativity Meets Sport: Jaunt is one of 87 films chosen for the nine-day film festival, which includes 17 world premieres and 10 North American premieres, highlighting BLK ELK as a rising name in outdoor filmmaking right here in Northwest Arkansas.

Two New Tigers Arrive At Turpentine Creek
Turpentine Creek Wildlife Refuge (TCWR) welcomed two new tigers to its sanctuary last week, each with a connected history to the sanctuary.
Coming Home: Sebastian and Shakira come from the Crown Ridge Tiger Sanctuary in Missouri, following its recent closure, marking the second time in two years that TCWR has been entrusted by another sanctuary for the care of its animals.
No Moe Joe Exotic: Both tigers have histories connected back to the Eureka Springs sanctuary. After being rescued from Tiger King Park in 2021, Sebastian now reunites with his offspring at TCWR, while Shakira rejoins her sister after being separated for years.
