Pea Ridge Mule Jump Kicks Off Its 36th Year
The 36th Annual Pea Ridge Mule Jump takes place this Saturday, Oct 11, starting at 9a.
Might as Well Jump! More than 6K people from around the country are expected to attend, where over 40 mules will compete for $4K in cash prizes. The event capitalizes on mulesâ reluctance to jump, creating an environment primed for laughter as contestants attempt to coax their animals over burlap barriers.
Go Ahead & Jump! The full-day festival includes an opening ceremony at 9a, multiple mule jump competitions, a car show, family activities like stick horse races and hog calling contests, nearly 100 food and beverage vendors, plus craft and gift shopping, combining Arkansas tradition with family entertainment.

Two NWA Residents Compete on National Game Show
Two people from Northwest Arkansas were selected to compete on the fourth season of The Floor game show.
I Challenge You to a Duel: Hosted by Rob Lowe in Ireland, 100 contestants, two from each U.S. state, stand on different LED squares and duel each other in expert trivia categories until someone takes over the entire floor.
Locals on a Global Stage: Kurt Libby and Josh Katz, residents of Northwest Arkansas, were selected to represent The Natural State on this season of the game show. Keep up with their progress each Wednesday at 7p CDT on FOX.

Walmart Open Call 2025 kicked off this week, running through today, Oct 8, until 5:30p.
Taking Shelfies: Nearly 600 entrepreneurs are in Bentonville to pitch their U.S.-made, grown, or assembled products directly to Walmart and Sam's Club merchants. The event honors 40 years of Sam Walton's legacy to support American business through retail opportunities.
The Aisle of Opportunity: Pitch meetings continue at Walmartâs HQ through today, helping Fortune 1 strengthen its commitment to invest $350B in U.S. products and create 750K jobs by 2030, as well as provide small businesses direct access to decision-makers at the worldâs largest retailer.

Money Women Collective is bringing its annual Womenâs Financial Literacy Conference back to The Ledger in Bentonville on Wednesday, Nov 5.
If I Was A Rich Girl: The one-day event will bring together experts, entrepreneurs, and community leaders to equip women with practical tools and real-world strategies for budgeting, investing, and building wealth with confidence. A VIP evening is also planned at Ryn on Tuesday, Nov 4.
