Vintage Market Days at Benton County Fairgrounds
Vintage Market Days will take over the Benton County Fairgrounds in Bentonville from Friday, Oct 9, through Sunday, Oct 11.
Old School Vibes: More than 175 vendors from 15 states will be at the market. Expect holiday-focused art, antiques, clothing, jewelry, home décor, outdoor furnishings, and seasonal plantings.
Past Present: Food trucks and treats will also be on site. A $10 weekend pass covers all three days with re-entry, and kids 12 and under are free. Hours are 10a-5p Friday and Saturday, then 10a-4p Sunday.

Onyx Coffee Lab to Open New Shop in Fayetteville
Onyx Coffee Lab plans to open another Northwest Arkansas coffee shop location at the Drake Farms development in Fayetteville.
Brew-ing News: The coffee shop will be Drake Farms’ first commercial tenant, spanning more than 4,700 sqft with additional outdoor space. The shop's opening date has not yet been announced.
Coming Soon: Drake Farms is a 165-acre mixed-use neighborhood in Fayetteville that will include around 2,400 homes and 1.3M sqft of healthcare and commercial space. Additional businesses and neighborhood amenities will be announced as the development continues.

Discover the Sound of the Steel Guitar at FamJam
Families can travel back to 1800s Honolulu with FamJam: Joseph Kekuku and the Voice of the Steel Guitar at Jones Center in Springdale on Saturday, Oct 17, at 11a.
A Sound That Changed Music: Follow the true story of 11-year-old Native Hawaiian Joseph Kekuku, whose accidental discovery with a railroad bolt helped create the steel guitar. Featuring live slide guitar and projections, the performance explores Hawaii’s history while tracing the instrument’s influence on Blues, Country, and Rock ’n’ Roll.
A Full Day of Family Fun: One ticket includes more than the performance. Families who attend will enjoy arts and culture, a themed craft, indoor ice skating, and swimming throughout the day. Tickets are $12 for the public and $10 for members.

NWA Schools Recognized for Performance Growth
The University of Arkansas’s Office for Education Policy released its 2026 “Beating the Odds” awards, based on performance during the 2025-26 academic year.
Growth Oriented: The annual award recognizes Arkansas schools where at least 66% of students qualify for free or reduced-price lunch, and that also posted top growth on the ATLAS statewide test.
Made the List: A few Northwest Arkansas schools made the list, recognizing growth in overall performance as well as math, English language arts, and science.

Oktoberfest at Mount Sequoyah in Fayetteville
Oktoberfest will take place at the Mount Sequoyah Center in Fayetteville on Friday, Oct 9, from 5:30-8p.
Ale's Well: The night will feature a German-inspired menu, including a carved sausage bar with several sides and a dessert, plus drink options for adults and kids.
Wurst Case: Chef Thor and Pitmaster James Tyler will prepare the meal. The event is open to all ages, with free parking available. Plus, guests can take in the sunset from the Mount Sequoyah overlook.
