Fans Storm Field Following Arkansas’s Upset Over No. 4 Tennessee
Arkansas fans stormed the field Saturday night following the Razorbacks’ 19-14 victory over No. 4 Tennessee in front of the sixth-largest crowd in Razorback Stadium history.
How ‘Bout Them Hogs: This marks the first time Arkansas has toppled an AP top-5 team since 2007 when it upset No. 1 LSU, and it’s the first time the team has done so in front of a home crowd since it took down a then-ranked No. 3 Tennessee in 1999.
In Our Defense: After starting quarterback Taylen Green suffered an injury, backup QB Malachi Singleton stepped in to lead the game-winning touchdown drive, leaving 1:17 on the clock. Coach Pittman credited the defense for keeping us in it and ultimately winning the game by shutting down the Volunteers’ final drive. Fans rushed the field immediately after the clock expired.
