STEM University in NWA Announces Official Name
The STEM-focused university set to open at the former Walmart Home Office in Bentonville broke ground and released its official name today.
STEM & Leaf Plot: The campus will be called Bentonville Institute of Technology, pairing science, tech, engineering, and mathematics education with business and AI.
Coming Soon: Its first phase includes 444,000 sqft that will include an academic building, student residences, and a makerspace. The first class of about 300 students is expected in August 2029, and tuition is expected to be fully covered during the institute's initial years.

Winetopia Returns for Its 18th Year
Restore Humanity's Winetopia returns to The Barn at Stonebreaker in Fayetteville on Friday, Oct 16, from 7-10p, marking the nonprofit's 20th anniversary and the event's 18th year.
Wine Not Go? The nonprofit's biggest fundraiser of the year will feature wine, local beer, bourbon, mocktails, and food from local spots like Mockingbird Kitchen, Bocca, Fire & Lightning, Cafe Rue Orleans, and more. The silent auction contains close to 100 items from local businesses and artists, including several vacation getaways. Among them are stays in Adagio and Playa Del Carmen, Mexico.
Aged to Perfection: One ticket covers all food and drinks, with proceeds supporting orphans and vulnerable children at Restore Humanity's JCO Children's Home in Kenya. Winetopia has sold out every year for 15 years running, so snag a ticket soon.

Hillberry Music Festival in Eureka Springs
Eureka Springs will host the 11th Annual Hillberry Music Festival from Wednesday, Oct 7, through Sunday, Oct 11.
Jam Packed: The five-day music festival will take over 160 acres near the Mark Twain National Forest, with live music across three stages featuring national bluegrass and funk artists like Old Crow Medicine Show and local talent.

Fayetteville recorded its hottest September on record, based on average temperature.
Heat Check: The city averaged 81Β°F throughout the month, beating the previous September record of 76.3Β°F by 4.7Β°F.
Hot Diggity: Fayetteville also hit 103Β°F three times in September, marking the first time the city reached 103Β°F in September in 26 years.
