Apple Seeds Plans New Teaching Farm To Meet Growing NWA Demand

Apple Seeds Teaching Farm announced plans to expand in Northwest Arkansas with a second teaching farm.

  • Waiting Lists Signal Need: Founded in 2007, the nonprofit currently serves more than 20K students and distributes over 10K pounds of fresh produce annually to food-insecure families. Schools in the area are already on waitlists for Apple Seeds programs, prompting the need for an additional site.

  • Searching for the Next Site: Due to the need, Apple Seeds is actively seeking land for its second teaching farm and inviting community members to help bring the project to life. The new site would allow the organization to serve more schools, expand access to fresh food, and deepen its impact in NWA.
