Join Best Friends Animal Society for Mascota Fest: a three-day celebration of pets and Hispanic heritage at the Best Friends Pet Resource Center in Bentonville this weekend!

  • Bingo Was His Name-O: Friday, Sep 19, is Lotería Night, a fast-paced game of Mexican bingo for prizes from 5-6p. On Saturday, Sep 20, they’re hosting a drop-in taco-themed dog treat-making session from 11a-1p, then a special Open House event from 2-4p showcasing all the resources, programs, and opportunities Best Friends offers for the community.

Adventure Lodge To Open Steps From NWA Trail Network

A former Fay Jones property is being transformed into Campfire Ranch Little Sugar, with plans to officially open Friday, Oct 10.

  • Chill Vibes: The midcentury modern property is being converted into a 7-room lodge with communal spaces, a sauna, and a cold plunge, grab-and-go coffee service from Airship Coffee, and bike rental availability from Phat Tire.

  • Premier Mountain Bike Destination: The lodge sits adjacent to the upcoming Oz Trails Bike Park, providing access to over 100 miles of biking and hiking trails. Reservations are already filling up for the inaugural season!

A Lake Fayetteville Bird Blind Reopens After Fire

The Mulhollan Bird Blind at Lake Fayetteville has officially reopened to the public after burning down last year.

  • A Rat & A Bird: The Northwest Arkansas Audubon Society successfully raised funds to reconstruct the popular birding destination, with financial support pouring in from the community and The Rat, a pale ale sold at Fossil Cove to support local outdoor recreation initiatives.

  • Walk Into A Blind: The restored bird blind returns wildlife observation and education opportunities to one of Fayetteville's most popular outdoor destinations.
