World's Top Two Golfers Headline NWA Championship Field

The world's top-ranked golfers Jeeno Thitikul and Nelly Korda lead an elite field competing at the Walmart NW Arkansas Championship this week at Pinnacle Country Club in Rogers.

  • The World’s Best: Seven of the top-10 players in the world have committed to the tournament, competing in a field of 144 players for a $3 million purse. Razorback All-American Maria José Marin and alum Maria Fassi join the field, plus fan favorite Lexi Thompson, returning after stepping away from full-time competition.

  • A Hole in One Week: Tournament week features the return of the BITE Experience food festival Sep 19-21 with 30+ local restaurants and breweries. Tickets start at just $10, with free admission for children 17 and under.

NWA Bike-a-Palooza Returns to Bella Vista This Weekend

NWA Bike-a-Palooza hits Bella Vista on September 19-20, featuring rides for all skill levels and a special VIP tour of the new OZ Trails Bike Park.

  • Still Time to Jump In: The festival offers road, mountain, and greenway rides, plus social gatherings, along with catered lunch and local vendors. Friday's event is sold out, but Saturday still has availability for riders wanting to experience Northwest Arkansas's world-class trail network.

  • For a Good Cause: All proceeds benefit Pedal It Forward, a local nonprofit that distributes around 3K bikes annually to neighbors in need. The event showcases what makes NWA a premier cycling destination through community-driven rides.

The Heartland’s Largest Startup Gathering Returns to Fayetteville Square

Startup Crawl 2025: Built to Launch will bring a night of innovation, brews, and live music to Downtown Fayetteville on Friday, Sep 26, from 5-9p.

  • Startups & Suds: The Heartland’s largest startup celebration transforms the Square into a walkable festival of ideas, featuring dozens of local companies, founders, and product demos paired with pours from regional breweries.

  • Innovation on Tap: Attendees can explore a curated lineup of emerging companies, jam to live local music, and enjoy unlimited craft beer with the purchase of a drinks ticket, all while getting a taste of Northwest Arkansas’s growing innovation scene.

New Restaurant Opens on Dickson St. With Upscale Seafood Focus

The Collective, a new upscale restaurant and bar, has officially opened on Dickson St, bringing seafood and craft cocktails to Downtown Fayetteville.

  • One Fish, Two Fish: The collaboration between brothers Don and William Ray and restaurateur Chris Tanner features wild-caught seafood and locally sourced vegetables. The restaurant operates Tuesday through Saturday from 5-10p, with happy hour from 5-7p.

  • Red Fish, Blue Fish: The Collective also includes Ben's Apartment, a members-only lounge with exclusive access. Live acoustic music starts Sep 27, with lunch and brunch services launching soon.

EOA Programs Now Enrolling Children Throughout Washington County

Economic Opportunity Agency (EOA) is actively enrolling children for its free Head Start early childhood education programs across Washington County.

  • Big Futures Start Small: EOA operates seven centers throughout Washington County with certified staff providing education, health services, and social services to families. Enrollment is open year-round for children ages 6 weeks to 5 years.

  • Free & Fun: All services are provided free of charge to families who qualify, offering comprehensive early childhood support beyond traditional daycare.
