SONA Launches Conductor Search Through Live Performances

The Symphony of Northwest Arkansas kicks off a milestone 2025-26 season with six guest conductors, four of whom will audition live to succeed longtime Music Director Paul Haas, who finished his tenure last spring.

• Conductor Quest: Four conductors will each lead one concert, with audience surveys following each performance to help guide the selection process.

• Fantastique Fayetteville: The season opens this Saturday, Sep 20, with Celestial Visions: Symphonie Fantastique, beginning at 7:30p at the Walton Arts Center in Fayetteville.

Centerton Taps Garver To Design New Downtown Master Plan

One of Arkansas's fastest-growing cities is officially moving forward with plans for a downtown transformation, selecting Garver to lead the creation of a Downtown Master Plan.

• Old Town Road: Centerton has primarily functioned as a residential community for Bentonville commuters, with limited amenities. The new development seeks to change that with a three-phase project: a revamp of Old Town, a 400-acre New Town, and pedestrian connections linking both.

• Level Up: The plan aims to create a mixed-use downtown where residents can access work, dining, and entertainment options in town. Public sessions will be held throughout the process, with the Downtown Master Plan scheduled to be completed by July 2026.
