NWA Nonprofit To Host Premier Farm-To-Table Dining Experience

Apple Seeds Teaching Farm in Fayetteville will host its annual Evening at the Farm event on Saturday, Oct 11, starting at 6p, to raise financial support.

• Support The Mission: Proceeds benefit Apple Seed programs that reach more than 16K Arkansas students each year through practical nutrition education.

• A Night To Remember: The evening features a cocktail hour and live music, a multi-course farm-to-table dinner crafted by award-winning chefs Matt Cooper and Jacob Burrell, and a live auction offering the chance to win travel getaways and exclusive dining experiences.

Family Fun Day Planned For This Weekend at Mt. Hebron Park

Rogers Parks & Recreation is hosting a free Family Fun Day at Mt. Hebron Park this Sunday, Sep 7, from 1-4p.

• Sunday Funday: Northwest Arkansas families can enjoy a whole afternoon of free fun at one of the largest inclusive parks in the state, designed for community and creativity.

• What To Expect: Local food trucks, a live DJ, free merchandise, interactive activities like games and face painting, and vendors will all be part of the day.

Boyz II Men Hit Walmart AMP Stage To Raise Support for Walton Arts Center

Legendary R&B group Boyz II Men will perform at the Walmart AMP for this year’s AMP Up the Arts Benefit Concert for Arts Education next Thursday, Sep 11, at 7:30p.

• For A Good Cause: Proceeds from the benefit concert support Walton Arts Center’s arts education programs, which help more than 26K students and educators in NWA experience free, live theater each year.

• Grab Your Seat: Donations between $71 and $129 reserve your seat for the intimate, limited-seat show, and an additional $33 (a nod to Walton Art Center’s 33rd anniversary) will get you reserved parking.

NWA Council Launches Wastewater Study

The Arkansas Department of Agriculture and the Northwest Arkansas Council have launched a regional wastewater study to better prepare the area for its rapid growth.

• Soaring Population: With NWA’s population projected to hit 1M by 2050, the study aims to guide infrastructure investments, inform the Arkansas Water Plan, transition from city-by-city fixes to a regional strategy, and protect both public health and economic growth.

• The 3 Part Plan: Over 18 months, engineers will complete a three-phase project, including a development phase to identify needs, an engagement phase to share priorities and gather feedback, and an implementation phase to craft a step-by-step roadmap for the area.
