U.S. News & World Report ranked Haas Hall Bentonville among the Top 10 Best U.S. High Schools.
The Breakdown: The rankings analyzed data from more than 24K schools nationwide, measuring six key factors, from college readiness and curriculum breadth to graduation rate and underserved student performance.
Lucky Number 7: The Bentonville school landed 7th in the nation with a near-perfect score of 99.96/100, boasting a 100% AP participation rate and 53% minority enrollment.

XNA To Detach From The City of Highfill in 2031
XNA and the City of Highfill reached an agreement this week that will allow the regional airport to detach from the city.
The Agreement: Both XNA’s Board of Directors and Highfill approved ending taxation on XNA customers effective in 2031, paving the way for the airport’s detachment from the city.
Why it Matters: The change returns XNA to its original purpose, serving the five cities and two counties of Northwest Arkansas, while ensuring Highfill’s financial needs are met and enhancing XNA’s long-term ability to serve travelers.

The Washington County Fair will light up the night sky on Friday, Aug 22.
Late, Late Night: Starting 30 minutes after dusk, around 9p, a Maverik-sponsored drone show will headline the Fair After Dark themed night, with rides open until 2a.
