XNA To Detach From The City of Highfill in 2031

XNA and the City of Highfill reached an agreement this week that will allow the regional airport to detach from the city.

• The Agreement: Both XNA’s Board of Directors and Highfill approved ending taxation on XNA customers effective in 2031, paving the way for the airport’s detachment from the city.

• Why it Matters: The change returns XNA to its original purpose, serving the five cities and two counties of Northwest Arkansas, while ensuring Highfill’s financial needs are met and enhancing XNA’s long-term ability to serve travelers.
