Springdale Hosts Historic Int’l Soccer Tournament Next Week

The Marshall Islands will make its official global soccer debut at the Outrigger Challenge Cup in Springdale, happening Aug 11-17.

  • Milestone Moment: The Marshall Islands were the last UN-recognized country on Earth without a national soccer team… until now! This tournament marks its first-ever international match, and big crowds are expected, especially from Springdale’s Marshallese community, the largest outside the islands themselves.

  • Global Competition: This week-long event features four teams: FIFA-affiliated U.S. Virgin Islands and Turks & Caicos, Ozark United FC’s U-19 team, and the Marshall Islands men’s national team.

Fayetteville’s Sunday on the Square Returns Aug 24

Experience Fayetteville’s signature community event returns later this month in Downtown Fayetteville.

  • Sunday Funday: On Sunday, Aug 24, from 12-4p, the festival series kicks back into gear after taking the summer off, with a full lineup of local fun.

Pea Ridge To Celebrate 175 Years at Founders Day

Pea Ridge will celebrate 175 years as a city at its Founders Day Parade this Saturday, Aug 9, at 10a.

  • 175 Years Young: From the 1862 Civil War Battle of Pea Ridge to being one of Arkansas’s first college towns, a lot of history has occurred in the city, and the parade plans to honor that legacy.
