Banana Ball Pro Tour Hits Baum-Walker Aug 15 & 16

The Savannah Bananas Pro Tour slides into the University of Arkansas’s Baum-Walker Stadium next weekend.

• Hittin’ Dingers: As part of their four-team world tour, two Banana Ball teams, the Party Animals and the Texas Tailgaters, roll into town for a head-to-head matchup in Fayetteville on Friday, Aug 15, and Saturday, Aug 16.

• NWA Homecoming: Experience Baum-Walker Stadium in a new way with two hours of non-stop entertainment, wild rules, and familiar faces to NWA including Party Animals teammates, Sal Jacabo from Rogers and Blake Benson from Springdale.

A new bar and lounge is set to open in Downtown Bentonville in just a couple of weeks.

• Prime Location: Taking over the former Bentonville Dive space, The Barber Social and Lounge will open just off the Square at the corner of A Street and 2nd Street.

• Best of Both Worlds: Named after the location’s rich history as a barber shop, the space has the best of both worlds, a large outdoor television screen perfect for watching fall football and a premium indoor lounge.

Legendary Outback in the Ozarks Adventure Race Returns After 6-Year Hiatus

After a six-year hiatus, Outback in the Ozarks is back! The adventure team running relay returns this fall, Oct 10-11.

• Running It Back: This iconic team running relay sends teams of 4-12 runners on a 205-mile journey from Eureka Springs to Prairie Grove. The race course is broken into 36 legs and leads runners through 5 state parks in the Ozarks.

• Choose your Challenge: Participants can choose between the full 205-Mile Overnight Relay or a 65-Mile Day Relay, a Saturday-only route that merges with the full-course teams at Lake Ft. Smith and finishes alongside them in Prairie Grove.

Apartment Project Nearing Completion in Downtown Rogers

The Ritter and Spool Apartments project is nearing completion in Downtown Rogers, led by construction company Buffalo Builders LLC.

• Downtown Dandy: The two-building apartment complex is a $7M, 37K sq ft space featuring 45 modern-styled units designed to match the historic charm of Downtown Rogers.

• Almost There: The project broke ground in October 2024 and is on track to wrap up by the projected end-of-August completion date.
