Crystal Bridges Expands Into New Interactive Art Gallery
Crystal Bridges has reached another expansion milestone with the opening of its first newly transformed art gallery, now open to the public.
An Interactive Experience: Formerly housed in the museum’s contemporary space, the Foundations of American Art gallery bridges past and present by pairing early American works with modern art. Visitors can engage with interactive elements like large-scale graphics, touchable objects, digital features, library books, soundscapes, and more.
Savor Legendary Pieces: Northwest Arkansans can experience iconic collections like Georgia O’Keeffe’s Jimson Weed/White Flower No. 1 and Richard Caton Woodville’s War News from Mexico, alongside new additions from the 18th to 20th centuries that surprise and inspire.

Culinary Center Leads the Charge for Healthier School Meals
NWACC’s Brightwater is on a mission to improve the nutrition of school lunches across Northwest Arkansas.
The Study of Food: Brightwater isn’t your typical culinary school. It’s an educational center dedicated to the study of food, offering academic and career training in culinary nutrition, beverage management, and food entrepreneurship.
C.H.E.F. Special: With support from a USDA grant, Brightwater launched the region’s first Children’s Health through Education and Food (CHEF) Challenge. The program not only delivers more nutritious meals to schools but also teaches kids to craft healthy recipes and connects local farmers to more opportunities throughout NWA’s food scene.
