CBS Sunday Morning Highlights Fayetteville Artist’s Thrift Store Art

CBS Sunday Morning caught up with Fayetteville-born artist, Jason Jones, to share the unlikely story behind the inspiration of his art: thrift stores.

  • Don’t Stop Believin’: After rejections from six graduate schools, Jason Jones didn’t quit. He honed his craft painting corporate backdrops for Walmart conventions and murals throughout Fayetteville before discovering his sweet spot with altered thrift store art.

  • Creative Currency: Today, Jason Jones makes his living selling modified thrift store pieces, priced between $800-$1,200, featuring fun additions like robots, foods, and more.
