Sassafras Springs Vineyard and Winery

The local Springdale winery, Sassafras Springs Vineyard and Winery, recently earned the Platinum Best-of-Class award for its wine.

  • The G.O.A.T of Wine: After facing fierce competition from over 750 wines located in 29 U.S. States and 12 countries at the 2025 Texas International Wine Competition, the local winery came out on top for its 2021 Sassafras Syrah wine.

  • Taste and See: You can experience the award-winning, crowd-favorite wine along with beautiful views, great food, and wine tastings at Sassafras’ 70-acre dining and event space.

Downtown Springdale Hosts Final Criterium Night

Downtown Springdale

Downtown Springdale will buzz with excitement on Wednesday, June 18, as the Natural State Criterium Series wraps up its final night of racing.

  • Fast Laps and Family Fun: Presented by Tyson Foods, the event features high-speed bike races on a closed course weaving through the Outdoor Dining District. Races kick off at 5p, with a kids’ obstacle course and lawn games to keep everyone entertained.

  • Ride, Dine, and Unwind: At 6p, join the community bike ride led by The Jones Center, starting at the Mile 16 sign. Afterward, enjoy food, drinks, and a lively evening with friends and family downtown.

Experience the World Premiere of Ridge to River: The Arkansas Traverse

In partnership with Bentonville Film Festival, AWAL Productions is debuting Narrative Landscapes alongside the world premiere of Ridge to River: The Arkansas Traverse.

Olivia Walton Launches Initiative to Improve Sinking Maternal Mortality Rate

After speaking with mothers across the state and identifying gaps in the healthcare system, Olivia Walton is on a mission to improve maternal health for Arkansans.

  • Health on the Rise: Arkansas ranks among the worst states for maternal mortality. Through Walton’s organization, Ingeborg Initiatives, the team is working to lower the state’s high maternal mortality rate with practical solutions aimed at improving both the health and economic well-being of new and expecting mothers.

  • Vision for the Future: Walton envisions Arkansas as a model for family support nationwide. Ingeborg Initiatives is focused on three pillars to make that vision a reality: paid leave, a child tax credit, and affordable child care.
