NWA Documentary ‘Beyond the Ashes' to Premiere at Bentonville Film Festival

The documentary Beyond the Ashes: An Adaptive Trail Story will have its world premiere this summer during the Bentonville Film Festival on Thursday, Jun 19, from 1–3:10p.

  • Trails for All: Produced in Northwest Arkansas and selected for BFF’s new Homegrown competition, the film spotlights Trailblazers’ pioneering work creating “universal trails” for riders using handcycles or adaptive bikes. It follows athletes with spinal cord injuries, limb differences, and traumatic brain injuries as they reclaim their space in the outdoors.

  • Access Reimagined: Directed by Emmy-nominated Tim Johnson and Telly Award winner Brock Wagner, Beyond the Ashes blends striking visuals with emotional storytelling. It features inspiring adaptive athletes like Brian Carlson, Jeremy McGhee, Annijke Wade, and more, with Trailblazers’ own Uriah Nazario narrating the journey.

A limited number of individual tickets will be available closer to the event, but festival passes are now available HERE.
