Bentonville Bike Fest

Happy Memorial Weekend, Northwest Arkansas! Here's a few things going on around town over the next few days.

  • 🚵 Ready to Shred: The 5th Annual Bentonville Bike Fest continues through Sunday, May 22–25! With 180+ vendors, stunt shows, races, and a massive bike expo.

  • 🌼 Bloomin’ Fun: Crystal Bridges’ floral-themed exhibition Art in Bloom kicks off this weekend, May 23, inside the museum before moving outside for garden installations on May 24.

  • 🎡 Ride Into Fun: Enjoy a family-friendly fest packed with rides, games, and all your favorite fair foods during The Spring Carnival at Parsons Stadium in Springdale, rolling from May 23–Jun 1 from 6–11p daily.

  • 🦖 Jurassic Parkansas: A new hands-on exhibit with animatronic dinosaurs launches the Scott Family Amazeum in Bentonville starting Sunday, May 25.

  • 🦸‍♂️ Heroic Hangout: Head to Memorial Park in Siloam Springs on Friday, May 23, from 4–8p for 4th Friday Siloam’s “Hometown Superheroes” night, featuring food trucks, local vendors, live music from The Uncrowned Kings, and fun activities for all ages, including a touch-a-truck with local first responders.

  • 🎭️ The First Curtain: The Arkansas New Play Festival continues at TheatreSquared this Saturday, May 24, with panels and premieres, including Side by Side and Cowboys and East Indians. The festival wraps up Sunday with The Winking Place and a second performance of Play on Jody.

  • 🥎 Play Ball: Arkansas Softball hosts Ole Miss for the Super Regional at Bogle Park in Fayetteville this weekend, May 23-25.

  • 🎉 Lotería Night: Join Best Friends Animal Society for Lotería Night on Saturday, May 24, from 6-8p at the Pet Resource Center in Bentonville. Enjoy traditional Mexican bingo, win prizes, and meet adoptable pets.

  • 🎷 Get Down With the Funk: Funk Factory is bringing the groove to Railyard Live in Downtown Rogers this Saturday, May 24, at 8p!

  • 🛍️ Makers Gonna Make: Shop local makers and artisans during the NWA Makers Pop-Up Market this Saturday, May 24, from 10a–5p at Pinnacle Hills Promenade in Rogers, where over 60 vendors will showcase their handmade goods.

  • 🛶 Rapid Fire Fun: Race rapids and sharpen your paddling skills at the WOKA Channel Challenge this Saturday, May 24, at 9a, featuring a timed course and free kayak clinics hosted by the Arkansas Canoe Club.

  • ✈️ Fly Free: The Arkansas Air & Military Museum in Fayetteville is offering free admission on Saturday, May 24, from 9a-4p, giving guests the perfect chance to explore historic aircraft, military artifacts, and aviation exhibits at no cost.

Downtown Springdale’s LIVE! at Turnbow Concert Series is Back

Free live music is back in Downtown Springdale with the return of LIVE! at Turnbow outdoor concert series, kicking off Thursday, May 29, at 6:30p.

  • Monthly Music Vibes: This spring-to-fall concert series brings free shows to Turnbow Park on the last Thursday of the month in April, May, August, and September, making it a perfect excuse for a downtown night out.

  • A Soulful Start: The first concert of the season kicks off with opening act Monét, a contemporary R&B artist known for her unique blend of pop, soul, and hip-hop. The evening’s headliner is Pura Coco, whose smooth, soulful sound blends alternative R&B with Latin and Southern influences, creating a live show that’s full of heart and connection.

Unknown Hero Saves Toddler at Tanyard Creek

A terrifying moment turned into a miracle earlier this week at Tanyard Creek in Bella Vista after a 3-year-old girl was swept down a 10-foot waterfall.

  • Swept Away: Fayetteville mom Kiya Livingston said her daughter, Melody, was playing near the bridge when she lost her footing and was pulled into the fast-moving current and pulled underwater.

  • To The Rescue: An unknown hero came to the rescue, leaping into the water to find Melody, whose foot had gotten pinned between rocks under the surface. Thanks to his help, Melody will celebrate her 4th birthday this weekend.
