• 🪕 Fresh Picks: FreshGrass Festival returns to the Momentary this Friday through Saturday, May 16-17. Expect live premieres, square dances, and exhibits featuring Johnny Cash and legendary music photography.

• 🚗 Crash Course: Watch drivers battle it out for cash and glory as The Demolition Derby returns to Parsons Stadium in Springdale this Saturday, May 17, from 6:30–10p (doors at 5p).

• ⚾️ Bases & Brews: Brew Pig Sooie is back at Baum-Walker Stadium this Saturday, May 17, featuring 20+ breweries from 11a–2p ahead of the Razorbacks’ matchup against Tennessee!

• 🥎 Bases Loaded: Arkansas Softball is hosting the Fayetteville Regional of the NCAA Tournament at Bogle Park in Fayetteville this weekend, May 16-18.

• 🫖 So, Here’s The Tea: Mount Sequoyah is hosting a Bridgerton-inspired tea party on Sunday, May 18, from 2:30–4:30p, complete with dainty bites, live music, and a DIY ceramic teacup to take home.

• 🃏Are You Watching Closely? Get your mind blown during a pop-up Close Up Magic Show with Joshua Stacy at Can Do Hardware in Gravette this Saturday, May 17. Shows start at 1p, 3p, and 5p.

• 🎸 Youth Take The Stage: Experience the vibrant energy of NWA’s young, up-and-coming musicians during The NWA Youth Artist Showcase at The Railyard Live in Rogers this Saturday, May 17 at 6p.

• 🐺 A Howl Of A Good Time: Call of the Wild, hosted by the Ozark Natural Science Center, is bringing music, food, and nature fun to Lake Fayetteville this Saturday, May 17, from 4–8p!

• 🧶 Weave It to Believe It: Join Weaving NWA for Weave the People on Saturday, May 17, from 11a-2:30p at Mt. Sequoyah Center in Fayetteville. Expect local food, music, and big ideas as community leaders connect, share solutions, and celebrate the 2025 Weaver Awards.

Free Adoptions All May at Best Friends Bentonville

In celebration of National Pet Month, adoption fees at all Best Friends Animal Society lifesaving centers, including the Best Friends Pet Resource Center in Bentonville, are covered by Blue Buffalo & Walmart throughout the month of May!

Maple Street Closing This Summer for $10 Million Safety Overhaul

Maple Street in Fayetteville will close for construction starting Monday, May 20, as part of a $10 million safety and accessibility improvement project.

• Safer Streets Ahead: The project focuses on the stretch between Garland and Arkansas avenues and will add raised bike lanes, improved sidewalks, streetlights, stormwater upgrades, and safer crosswalks near the University of Arkansas campus. The goal is to make the corridor safer for all travelers, especially cyclists and pedestrians.

• Plan Your Route: Construction is expected to last through August. Drivers, students, and residents should plan out detours and expect to use alternate routes throughout the summer.
