Two New Junior High Campuses Coming to Fayetteville
Big changes are on the horizon for Fayetteville Public Schools, with two new junior high campuses—Ramay and Woodland—set to reshape the city’s educational landscape over the next few years.
Ramay Reimagined: The new Ramay Junior High is planned for the east side of College Ave near Poplar St. Designed by Lake Flato Architects, the 145,000-sqft, three-story building will blend into its hillside setting with a “cabin in the woods” aesthetic and natural materials. Construction could begin in summer 2026, aiming for a 2028–29 school year opening.
Woodland Goes Green: The new Woodland Junior High will be built northeast of Crossover and Joyce. Designed by local firm Modus Studio, the 160,000-sqft campus will use mass timber, maximize natural light, and aim for WELL Platinum and LEED Gold certifications. Construction begins this summer, with an expected fall 2027 opening.
