Blue Crane Announces Major Development on Downtown Bentonville Square

Downtown Bentonville Inc.

A new mixed-use development is coming to the north side of Bentonville’s Square, bringing new homes, shops, public spaces, and an underground parking garage while preserving key pieces of the city’s history.

  • Historically Rooted: The project, located between Second Street, NE A, and North Main, is being developed by local group Blue Crane and Riverside of Austin. Herzog & de Meuron and Page will lead the design, aiming to honor Bentonville’s past, including restoring the historic Benton County Jail and a reimagined branch for Arvest Bank.

  • Forward Thinking: Plans include new residential units, retail and dining spots, pedestrian-friendly streetscapes, and better connections to community favorites like the Razorback Greenway. Construction is expected to begin in early 2026, with utility work already underway.
