Peel Compton Foundation Celebrates 150th Anniversary with Community Picnic

Peel Compton Foundation will celebrate the 150th Anniversary of the Peel Home with a Community Picnic on Sunday, Jun 1, from 11:00a–2p. 

• Picnic + Play: The Peel Home, built in 1875, invites you to gather with friends, family, and neighbors in their gardens to learn more about Bentonville’s history while enjoying fun and festivities! Your ticket includes a complimentary lunch, traditional music and dance, a time capsule burial, and other engaging activities for all ages to enjoy.

• Celebrate History: From interactive exhibits to blacksmithing, pottery, soap making, and more that bring the 1800s to life, this will be a special celebration of history and community! Be a part of the past and present of Bentonville’s story.

Arkansas Pottery Festival Returns to The Community Creative Center

The 4th Annual Arkansas Pottery Festival returns to Fayetteville for a three-day celebration of pottery demonstrations, exhibitions and sales, and lectures by nationally recognized artists from May 2-4.

• Sip & See: Enjoy coffee and refreshments as well as the unique opportunity to learn from masters in the field, Brad Schwieger and Lorna Meaden. Visitors can also explore an extensive pottery exhibition sale featuring work from over 50 regional potters.

Blue Crane Announces Major Development on Downtown Bentonville Square

A new mixed-use development is coming to the north side of Bentonville’s Square, bringing new homes, shops, public spaces, and an underground parking garage while preserving key pieces of the city’s history.

• Historically Rooted: The project, located between Second Street, NE A, and North Main, is being developed by local group Blue Crane and Riverside of Austin. Herzog & de Meuron and Page will lead the design, aiming to honor Bentonville’s past, including restoring the historic Benton County Jail and a reimagined branch for Arvest Bank.

• Forward Thinking: Plans include new residential units, retail and dining spots, pedestrian-friendly streetscapes, and better connections to community favorites like the Razorback Greenway. Construction is expected to begin in early 2026, with utility work already underway.

Gear Up Your Engines For The Demolition Derby In Springdale

The Ozarks Demolition Derby will take place at Parsons Stadium in Springdale this Saturday, May 3, at 6:30p. Gates open at 5p.  

• Gone Smashin’: Presented by Sam’s Furniture, the Demolition Derby is a thrilling night where drivers compete for cash prizes and bragging rights, and fun can be had by the whole family.
