Fayetteville Actor Defies the Odds with New Indie Film

Writer Austin James Wolff & Director Taylor Foster
Fayetteville’s own Austin James Wolff is turning heads with the new trailer for his independent film, Wally Jackson and the Probability of Love and Car Accidents.
A Passion Project: For years, Wolff was told he wasn’t “famous enough” to play the lead in his own script, which portrays the coming-of-age story of neurodivergent protagonist Wally Jackson. As someone with autism, Wolff felt the story needed to be told. So, with a micro-budget, a volunteer director, and a crew that believed in the mission, he made it happen against all odds.
Fayetteville Roots: Wolff is now working on post-production from Fayetteville. A crowdfunding campaign will launch soon to help cover final costs like sound, scoring, and VFX. In his downtime, he can often be found at his favorite cafe, The Meteor, or playing pool with friends at Ryleigh's on Dickson.
Watch the trailer and follow the journey HERE.
