2025 Cox Concert Series at the Walmart AMP Kicks Off This Friday

The 2025 summer concert season officially kicks off at the Walmart AMP with Treaty Oak Revival performing this Friday, Apr 11, at 7p.

  • Fresh Perks: Fans can look forward to enhanced video walls, a new food truck in the AMP Underground, and a lineup of over-the-top eats like chili cheese dogs and ice cream nachos. Rideshare pickup has moved to the Embassy Suites lot, and streamlined ticketing through Ticketmaster and wristband check-ins aim to speed up entry all season long.

  • Let’s Get It Started: Known for their high-energy shows and gritty sound, Treaty Oak Revival is bringing a rowdy start to what’s shaping up to be a stacked season, including performances from Halsey, Nate Bargatze, Luke Bryan, Thomas Rhett, The Black Keys, Goo Goo Dolls, Leon Bridges, and more!

Ambivert Books and Two Friends Launch Bilingual Book Club in Springdale

Ambivert Books and Two Friends Community Books are teaming up to launch Tertulia Sudamericana, a bilingual book club celebrating South America’s literary voices.

  • Literatura EspaĂąola: Ambivert Books is Arkansas’s only dedicated Spanish-language bookshop, focused on Latin American literature and cultural connection. Meetings will be held at Casa Magnolia, an arts-focused cafĂŠ and community space in downtown Springdale created by Chef Rafael Rios of Yeyo’s and supported by Two Friends Community Books.

  • Spanglish Stories: The club will explore contemporary South American fiction—reading in both English and Spanish and chatting in Spanglish. Each month highlights a different country and author, with books available by donation at the venue. The club kicks off Thursday, Apr 17, at 6p with Huaco Retrato by Gabriela Wiener.

Natural State Criterium Series & Family Bike Nights Rolling into Downtown Springdale

Spring evenings are heating up with the return of the Natural State Criterium Series, which will bring fast-paced racing and family fun to Downtown Springdale on Apr 16, May 7, and Jun 18.

  • High-Speed Thrills: Get ready for three action-packed nights of high-energy, spectator-friendly racing on a fast, closed course. Whether you're a seasoned racer or just love the thrill of competition, these USA Cycling-sanctioned events promise exciting finishes—and you might even spot some local pros in the mix!

  • Family Bike Nights: Family Bike Nights will include a kids’ obstacle course, free group rides to Luther George Park, and kids' races at Shiloh Square. So, whether you're racing, riding, or cheering from the sidelines, it’s a night of cycling fun for all ages!

Seven Tigers Find Refuge in Arkansas After Cross-Country Rescue

Seven big cats now call Arkansas home after being rescued from neglect and transported over 2,800 miles to Turpentine Creek Wildlife Refuge in Eureka Springs.

  • Safe Haven in the Ozarks: Turpentine Creek Wildlife Refuge is one of only ten accredited big cat sanctuaries in North America. Now part of TCWR’s Witness Protection Program, the tigers will receive expert veterinary care, spacious natural habitats, and a fresh start.

  • The Road Home: After a 2,800-mile journey from Nevada through snowy roads and thunderstorms, the TCWR team safely completed the journey and transition of the animals. The rescue was made possible through collaboration with Nye County officials, the Big Cat Sanctuary Alliance, and other wildlife agencies.
