Rogers Short Film Festival Returns for its Fifth Year

Rogers Short Film Festival
Celebrate the art of storytelling during The Fifth Annual Rogers Short Film Festival, coming to 2nd Street Studio in Downtown Rogers from May 2-4.
New Stage: While the Victory Theater undergoes repairs, 2nd Street Studio will host this year’s festival, offering an exciting space for screenings, networking, and industry connections. Organized by Arkansas Public Theatre and StudioChunky, the festival provides a platform for filmmakers to showcase their work.
New Categories: This year’s competition introduces three new categories—Abstract/Experimental, Documentary, and Zero to Sixty—alongside student, amateur, and professional divisions. Submissions are open through Mar 28 via FilmFreeway.

Market Center of the Ozarks in Springdale Prepares For Opening
The Market Center of the Ozarks, a 45,000-sqft food processing facility in Downtown Springdale, is set to open in the coming weeks, providing major opportunities for local farmers and food entrepreneurs.
Not Just A Food Hub: Developed as part of the Northwest Arkansas Food System, the center will support farmers and small food businesses by providing essential resources like cold storage, crop aggregation areas, and commercial kitchens. It aims to increase access to locally grown food while fostering economic growth in the region.
More Than a Marketplace: The Arkansas Food Innovation Center at the Market Center of the Ozarks helps entrepreneurs grow their businesses with technical support, business development assistance, and valuable resources. By fostering innovation and economic growth, it also reduces barriers for small food businesses in Northwest Arkansas.

Fayetteville Junior Civic League is gearing up for its annual fundraiser, The I ❤️ Fayetteville Big Party, taking place at George’s Majestic Lounge on Saturday, Mar 15, from 7-11p.
Improving Lives: Founded in 1949, Fayetteville Junior Civic League is a group of 50 women dedicated to improving the lives of local families in need. Through fundraisers like The Big Party, they’ve raised nearly $1M for nonprofits supporting women and children across Northwest Arkansas.
Throw It Back: This year’s Big Party will transport guests back in time. Enjoy a chill cocktail hour with music by local artist Collin Kidd, followed by 90s tribute band The Mixtapes. Tickets include complimentary appetizers, beer, wine, seltzer, & soft drinks.
