TheatreSquared Reimagines Shakespeare with a Modern Verse Translation of Twelfth Night

TheatreSquared
TheatreSquared in Fayetteville is bringing Shakespeare to the stage with a fresh, modern verse translation of Twelfth Night, running Mar 5-30.
She’s The Man: Twelfth Night is a whirlwind of disguise, deception, and romance. Separated by a shipwreck, Viola disguises herself as a man and impersonates her twin brother, only to find herself entangled in a web of unrequited love, pranks, unexpected reunions, and one of Shakespeare’s most joyful and heartfelt conclusions.
A Whole New Spin: This new adaptation by Alison Carey, produced in collaboration with Play On Shakespeare and the National Asian American Theatre Company, retains the heart of Shakespeare’s classic comedy while making it even more accessible. The production, directed by Aneesha Kudtarkar, features an all-Asian American cast and brings lively music, swordplay, and mistaken identity to life in a dynamic new way.
