Shop Local During the Black-Owned Business Expo This Weekend
Creativity, culture, and commerce collide during the 8th Black Owned Business Expo, hosted by Black Owned Northwest Arkansas at the Fayetteville Town Center on Saturday, Feb 22, from 11a-4p.
Build Community: Black-Owned NWA drives the development and promotion of local Black Businesses, the building of generational Black Wealth, and the overall celebration of the Black diaspora in Arkansas and beyond. Its semi-annual expo provides physical and digital platforms for Black-owned businesses to showcase their entrepreneurial spirit to the community.
Shop Local: Find a new favorite business to support while you explore over 60 local vendors, offering items ranging from vintage apparel to baked goods, candles, freshly made samosas, and more. Admission is $5.

Explore the Cosmos at Hobbs State Park
Hobbs State Park-Conservation Area and the Sugar Creek Astronomical Society invite you to a free evening of stargazing and education on Saturday, Mar 1.
Discover Messier’s Marvels: Astronomy Night begins indoors at 5:30p with Jack McDaniels leading a discussion on the Messier Objects—110 celestial wonders cataloged by 18th-century astronomer Charles Messier, including the famous Crab Nebula (M1).
Gaze at the Stars: Outdoor viewing starts at 6:30p, where guests can spot the Pleiades, or Seven Sisters, in the Aries constellation, one of the original 48 constellations recognized by the Greeks. Bring binoculars, a red-lens flashlight, and lawn chairs for the best experience. The event is recommended for ages 8 and up.

This Friday, Feb 21, at 6p, CACHE will host a Music Ecosystem Social Hour at The Medium in Springdale to discuss the state of Northwest Arkansas' Music Industry—which generates more than $10M in revenue annually.
Musical Metrics: The discussion will incorporate findings from the 2024 NWA Music Census, which captured data on the region’s music ecosystem, including panel discussions with industry leaders like hip-hop artist Artavius "SpidaCrazy8" Powers, Love More Records co-owner Raquel Thompson, KUAF General Manager Clint Schaff, and more.
Instrumental Insights: Anyone involved in Northwest Arkansas’s music scene is invited to attend, including anyone who contributes music-related work, with or without compensation, work that is more administrative than creative, and music lovers who may or may not work in the industry. The event is free, but registration is required.

Eureka Springs Lights Up for Mardi Gras Night Parade

Eureka Springs Mardi Gras
Eureka Springs is set to glow with excitement during the annual Mardi Gras Night Parade this Saturday, Feb 22, at 6p.
Through The Streets: Locals and visitors alike gather every year to celebrate Mardi Gras in true Eureka Springs fashion—lively, quirky, and full of community spirit. As night falls, the streets will come alive with illuminated floats, vibrant costumes, and all the usual energy of Mardi Gras.
That Thing You Voodoo: After the parade, the party continues with the Black Light Ball at Chelsea’s Corner Bar. Doors open at 7p, so grab your UV-reactive outfits and dance the night away—the theme this year is Voodoo Prom.
