Nature-Focused Retreat In the Works In Fayetteville

Ecological Design Group
A unique nature-based hospitality development is one step closer to reality in Fayetteville, offering a blend of outdoor recreation, event space, and local craft beer.
Community Considerations: The Farm at South School, a 22-acre development, received unanimous approval from the Planning Commission for a planned zoning district. Residents praised the project’s low-impact design and tree preservation efforts but voiced concerns over a potential road extension. The proposal now heads to the City Council for final approval.
A Nature Escape: The project would feature 10 overnight guest cabins, a small brewery in a renovated house on the property, an orchard, and event spaces. Plans also include adding a boardwalk to an existing pond, soft-surface trails, and pastures for grazing animals.
