The Workbench Collective
The Workbench Collective is celebrating its new Springdale location with an Open House this Saturday, Feb 1, from 10a-6p.
The Woodshop: The Workbench Collective is a community woodshop that offers student programs for 2nd-12th graders, adult workshops, and membership packages with 24/7 access to the shop and its professional-grade tools.
Check It Out: The Open House will give visitors a chance to tour the shop, join free hands-on woodworking crafts, and enjoy refreshments like a hot cocoa/coffee bar. Plus, it’s the last chance to get in on Founder rates for memberships.

NWA Council Recruits Help of DPZ CoDesign To Craft Regional Growth Strategy

Walton Family Foundation
With Northwest Arkansas projected to exceed 1 million residents by 2050, the NWA Council has tapped urban design firm DPZ CoDesign to help develop a regional growth strategy that can address challenges like housing, infrastructure, and green space preservation.
Seeking Public Input: Supported by Walton Family Foundation funding, the strategy will prioritize community engagement, including an eight-day summer roadshow and events throughout the year to ensure diverse voices, such as Hispanic and Marshallese residents, help shape the region’s future.
Preserving Uniqueness: DPZ will work with local governments and stakeholders to align the regional strategy with each city’s unique plans, promoting connectivity, housing options, and natural space protection while reducing sprawl and improving infrastructure.

The Stonebreaker Hotel, a new 78-room property atop Markham Hill in Fayetteville, officially opens this Saturday, Feb 1.
Stop By: The modern interior is inspired by Markham Hill's natural surroundings. The design was led by FÖDA, an Austin-based firm recognized by the James Beard Foundation. Amenities include an outdoor fire pit area, heated pool and hot tub, bar and lounge spaces, and an event venue.
Stay A While: The hotel is part of a larger development by Specialized Real Estate Group that also includes a restaurant led by Executive Chef Tyler Rogers, former chef at Hail Fellow Well Met in Johnson, and a members' club overseen by Club Manager Cognac Franklin, who previously managed Bentonville's Blake St. House.
