Honoring Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.’s Legacy in NWA
The Northwest Arkansas Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Council will host two events this weekend celebrating the life and legacy of Dr. King: the Beloved Community Festival and the 29th Annual Recommitment Celebration on Saturday, Jan 18.
Celebrating The Beloved: Crystal Bridges will host The Beloved Community Festival on Friday, Jan 17, from 6-10p. Enjoy multicultural cuisine, live music, art exhibits, and inspiring speeches centered on Dr. King’s vision of a “Beloved Community.”
Keeping The Dream: The Recommitment Celebration will be held at the Fayetteville Public Library on Saturday, Jan 18, from 4-7:30p, featuring the Salute to Greatness Awards, recognition of 2025 Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Academic Scholarship recipients, and a fireside chat with NTY best-selling author and political analyst Dr. Michael Eric Dyson. Tickets are $60.

The Momentary Launches Monthly Supper Club Series
The Momentary is launching a new curated dinner series this month called Supper Club, an intimate dining experience aimed at highlighting local chefs and showcasing culinary artistry in a way that encourages connection and conversation.
At The Table: The inaugural Supper Club with Chef Tyler Rogers of Fayetteville’s Stonebreaker is already sold out, but the series will continue on the third Wednesday of every month. The lineup so far includes Lisa Stuart on Feb 19, Juan Bahena on Mar 19, and Sammy Townsend on Apr 16.
On The Menu: Tickets for Supper Club are $99 ($89 for members) and include a three-course meal and a welcome mocktail. Alcoholic beverages will be available for purchase.

Fossil Cove’s Premiere Outdoor Beer Fest Returns To Fayetteville
Frost Fest Outdoor Beer Festival will showcase the region’s best breweries at the Washington County Fairgrounds on Saturday, Feb 1, from 1-6p.
Chill Out: Organized by the folks behind Fossil Cove Brewery, the festival showcases local breweries and supports local organizations with lots of craft beer, food trucks, vendors, live music, and artists. Frost Fest 2024 raised $55,000 for local nonprofits!
Frost This: Frost Fest ticket holders will be given a keepsake-tasting glass to sample over 50 craft breweries from the Ozarks and beyond while enjoying live music by the Funkanites, Cadillac Jackson, and Haus of Untz. An unforgettable afterparty is scheduled at George's Majestic Lounge around 8p, featuring stepmom and Idle Valley.

Arkansas Global Cycling Accelerator Seeking Startups for Inaugural Program
The Arkansas Global Cycling Accelerator (AGCA) has officially launched in Bentonville and is seeking 10 startups from North America, Europe, and Asia to participate in its inaugural cohort.
Arkancycle: AGCA’s mission, supported by a $125,000 grant from the Arkansas Economic Development Commission and a funding match from the Walton Family Foundation, aligns with Arkansas’s investment in cycling infrastructure and innovation.
Ready to Start: The accelerator will run a 10-week hybrid program for pre-Series A startups, focusing on advancing cycling-related tech innovation, connecting participants with key investors and mentors, and fostering strategic partnerships with leading industry brands.
Startups can apply for the program by Feb 11 HERE.

Rock Out 90s Style During The “I ❤️ Fayetteville Big Party”

Fayetteville Junior Civic League is gearing up for its annual fundraiser, The I ❤️ Fayetteville Big Party, taking place at George’s Majestic Lounge on Saturday, Mar 15, from 7-11p.
Improving Lives: Founded in 1949, Fayetteville Junior Civic League is a group of 50 women dedicated to improving the lives of local families in need. Through fundraisers like The Big Party, they’ve raised nearly $1M for nonprofits supporting women and children across Northwest Arkansas.
Throw It Back: This year’s Big Party will transport guests back in time. Enjoy a chill cocktail hour with music by local artist Collin Kidd, followed by 90s tribute band The Mixtapes. Tickets include complimentary appetizers, beer, wine, seltzer, & soft drinks.
