Ditch Your StairMaster For The Real Thing During The Rise Challenge At Coler

Test your grit during The Rise Challenge at Coler, a free event to see who can scale the 186 steps of The Rise the most times in two hours, this Saturday, Feb 10, from 10:30a-12:30p.

  • Rise And Shine: Inspired by workout stairs in Santa Monica, the steel and rough-cut cedar staircase rises 11 flights of stairs through the tree canopy to the Hub at Coler Mountain Bike Preserve. The Rise is located 200 yards north of Airship Coffee on the east side of the Greenway.

  • Stairing Contest: Sign-ups start at 10a, and the stepping begins at 10:30a sharp. First, second, and third-place prizes will be awarded to those who can log the most trips to the top and back down in two hours.

U of A Launches Prototyping Lab For Early Stage Startups At The Collaborative

Adding to Northwest Arkansas’s vibrant startup scene, Beta in Bentonville bridges the gap between technology and entrepreneurship by providing an accessible lab for founders to prototype their product ideas.

  • That’s My Type: A physical prototype can be essential for startups to secure funding for large-scale production. Before the launch of Beta, most early-stage startups had to seek out-of-state prototyping services, at a cost, to manufacture small batches for product testing.

  • Bring Me To Life: The experts at Beta specialize in computer-aided design and functional prototyping for physical products. All entrepreneurs, regardless of technical skills, can benefit from the lab's resources to bring their ideas to life.
