Rogers Historical Museum Explores History of Alcohol In The Ozarks

Dive into the fascinating history of moonshine and the prohibition movement in Arkansas with Last Call: History of Alcohol in the Ozarks. The new exhibit at the Rogers Historical Museum kicks off with a preview night this Thursday, Mar 14, from 4:30-7:30p.

  • That Good Ole Mountain Dew: The exhibit follows the timeline of Arkansas law as control shifted between those campaigning for dry counties and those who supported wet counties. Among the artifacts are an authentic Ozarks copper still, a mid-20th century commercial wine bottling machine, and many local stories paired with historic photographs.

  • Speakeasy Soiree: Members are invited to a 1920s-themed preview party this Thursday, Mar 14. Enjoy light hors d’oeuvres, beverages, live jazz, and a vintage-style photo booth. Non-members can join at the door with a $20 individual or $30 family membership.
