Celebrate Northwest Arkansas’s Independent Bookstores This Weekend

"Don't cry, shopgirl. Don’t cry.” We’ve compiled a guide to help you explore Northwest Arkansas’s incredible independent bookshops and used bookstores.

  • By Its Cover: Whether you’re looking for rare first-editions to add to your vintage book collection or on the hunt for the perfect book to take on your next vacation, you’ll find incredibly curated collections at these 8 Independent Bookstores in NWA—several also host book clubs, writers' nights, and other community engagement events.

  • Book It: Check out your favorite bookshop’s socials to see what they have in store for Indie Book Day. For instance, Two Friends Books in Bentonville will have storytime, live music, and deals all day, and Pearl’s Books in Fayetteville has hidden a golden ticket among its shelves that’ll award 12 free audiobook credits from Libro.fm to the lucky finder.

Grammy-Winning Rock Band Plays at Walmart AMP

Greta Van Fleet extended their Starcatcher World Tour with 12 additional stops, including the Walmart AMP.

  • A Family Affair: The sibling-led group has performed across multiple continents and sold over 3.5m records, making them one of the most commercially successful American rock bands of their generation - due in part to frontman Josh Kiszka's sonic similitude to Robert Plant of Led Zeppelin.

  • Rock & Roll All Night: Performing on Wednesday night, May 1, the tour celebrates their album Starcatcher, which has dominated charts since its release last July. Don't forget the add-ons at checkout for the 2024 season: Reserved Parking, AMP Underground, Fast Track, and lawn chair rentals, to name a few.
