Washington Regional Emergency Department Receives Prestigious Lantern Award

Washington Regional's emergency department has made history by becoming the first in Arkansas to earn the prestigious Emergency Nurses Association Lantern Award — placing them among an elite group of only 53 emergency departments worldwide to achieve this honor in 2023.

  • With the Best: Former Lantern Award recipients include Johns Hopkins, UCLA Medical Center, and Cedars Sinai Medical Center. Earning this award shows that Washington Regional is taking the same innovative approach to providing the high-quality care you would expect from the country’s most respected healthcare systems.

  • Trustworthy Care: The award is a testament to the department's exceptional leadership, innovative practices, and commitment to education, advocacy, and research. Ideally, you won’t need to experience their top-notch emergency department care first-hand any time soon, but if you do, know they’ve got you covered.
