NWA Spring Fashion Week Begins Tomorrow!

Northwest Arkansas Fashion Week, presented by local nonprofit INTERFORM, kicks off tomorrow at the Ledger in Downtown Bentonville, featuring collections from Project Runway designers, engaging panel discussions, and free educational programs from Mar 28-30.

  • In Fashion: Centered around three thematic evenings, Community, Art, and Industry, the show will feature runway shows by Project Runway Alumni and regional designers like Alynwonderland, Rulli Torres, Korto Momolu, Asthon Hall, Nakota Style, and Brittany Allen. Tickets are sold out, but the events can be live-streamed at interform.art.

  • Social Fabric: A free panel discussion on the Cultural Relationship to Textiles and Fashion will take place at the Ledger, featuring Zipporah Barasa, Korto Momolu, Srividya Venkatasubramanya, and Basana Chhetri, on Saturday, Mar 30, at 2p.

True Colors Tulip Farm Open For Easter Weekend

Every year, True Colors Farm by PerspectAbility in Bentonville plants over 100,000 tulips to brighten the spring season and empower neurodiverse adults toward independent living.

  • New Perspectives: PerspectAbility is dedicated to bridging gaps in opportunities for neurodiverse adults, providing support for independent living, promoting self-advocacy, and educating the public about neurodiversity. One of the ways they accomplish their mission is through True Colors Farm, Northwest Arkansas’s only non-profit tulip farm.

  • Support Inclusion: The tulip fields will be open this Easter Weekend, Mar 28 - Apr 1, so pack your blankets, pick a bouquet, and take photos with the Easter Bunny!

NWA Sales Tax Revenue Up 0.62% In March Report

According to February's report, Northwest Arkansas sales tax revenue growth remained positive overall, though its pace of growth has slowed.
Bentonville, Fayetteville, Rogers, and Springdale brought in a combined total of $8.734m — a 0.62% increase over March 2023.

  • The Slow March: According to March reports, Bentonville collected $1.729m, a 24.54% decrease over last year. Fayetteville reported sales tax revenue of $2.368m, down 2.52% from the previous year. Springdale saw a 6.24% decrease, with total revenue reaching $1.748m.

  • Rogers Rallies: Rogers’ strong March earnings kept the region in the positive collectively, bringing in $2.887m with a 37.9% increase over the same period last year. Despite a slower month, year-to-date totals are positive across the four cities, with a cumulative revenue of $28.312m — up 2.75%.
