Lifewater International Joining Forces With Water For Good

Locally-based nonprofit Lifewater International announced this week that it has merged with Water For Good of Indianapolis to more effectively bring clean water to underserved populations worldwide.

  • Water We Doing: Headquartered in Bentonville, Lifewater International works around the globe to provide clean water and empower lasting change for those living in extreme poverty. Lifewater CEO Dave LEvan will assume leadership of the new organization, which carries on the name Water for Good.

  • Where’re We Going: The new iteration of Water for Good will maintain its headquarters in Bentonville and an office in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, primarily serving communities in Cambodia, the Central African Republic, Ethiopia, Tanzania, and Uganda.

TheatreSquared is setting the stage for Lauren Yee’s Cambodian Rock Band, the critically acclaimed show heralded by The Los Angeles Times as “a fierce, gorgeous, heartwarming, comedic fairy tale.” Shows will run from Feb 28 through Mar 24.

Rogers Historical Museum Showcases A Century Of American Glassware

The Rogers Historical Museum will open its newest exhibit, A Century of American Glassware, this Saturday, Feb 17.

  • On The Table: The exhibit displays a collection of 1870s-1970s glassware ranging from Brilliant Cut Glass and Early American Pattern Glass to uranium glass and the colorful tableware of the Depression era.

  • Locally Sourced: Many of the items displayed were donated by locals, including various shapes and sizes of table salt dishes from the collection of Agnes Lytton Reagan, whose family has a long history in Northwest Arkansas.
