First Ever Northwest Arkansas VC Day To Meet At Ledger In Bentonville

Startup Junkie, in partnership with Stout Street Capital, 412 Angels, Startup NWA, and other regional collaborators, will host the first-ever Northwest Arkansas-based VC Day at the Ledger in Bentonville this Wednesday, Apr 24, from 10a–6p.

  • I’d Venture: ​NWA VC Day is an open event for startup founders and venture capitalists looking to network in a casual setting. The goal is to create a low-pressure environment for all participants while enabling access to the greater venture capital ecosystem.

  • Let’s Work Together: The day won’t carry the pressure of a pitch event but will provide more value than a mere networking reception. Participants will share a co-working space with other founders for the day and hear from panelists on how to get enterprise-ready.

Mount Sequoyah Hosting Two Day Music + Art Festival

This weekend, the second annual AMMPlify Fest will showcase local emerging artists during a two-day music and arts festival at Mount Sequoyah from Apr 27 – 28.

  • Arts Apprenticeship: AMMPlify, standing for the Arts & Music Mentorship Program and Festival, has involved three mentors in media, music, and art, guiding participants through a series of curated events leading up to this festival-style event on the mountain.

  • Mountain Party: Inspired by the theme Rite of Spring, first the darkness and then the light, day one features sludge, doom, and emo bands on Apr 27, followed by an art sale on Apr 28, featuring professional visual artists from the region.

Shape The Future Of Affordable Housing In NWA With Groundwork

Groundwork is creating vibrant, mixed-income communities in Northwest Arkansas by expanding housing options for working families near vital hubs of employment, commerce, and culture — like the current Big Emma project in Downtown Springdale.

Color Your Weekend During The Holi Festival At The Momentary

Shake off the winter cold and celebrate the start of spring during the Holi Festival this Saturday, Apr 27, from 11a–3p at the Momentary in Bentonville.

  • Family Fun: Hosted by the Indian Cultural Association of NWA, the celebration will feature traditional Indian food, music, dancing, creative art kits, and fun for the entire family while learning about unique cultures in our area.

  • Colors of Spring: Celebrating the vibrancy of life, a fun element of Holi is the throwing of brightly colored pigment powder, so wear clothes that you don't mind getting dirty and be ready to join the fun!

Eureka Springs Roaring With The Sound Of Chainsaws

The Carving in the Ozarks Festival is back, bringing a weekend of creativity, community, and great vibes to Eureka Springs from Apr 26–27.

  • Good Work, Woodwork: In its 19th year, the Carving in the Ozarks Festival gathers talented carvers from all over the country for a fun weekend. A live auction on Saturday at 4p will raise funds for local nonprofits like the Eureka Springs High School Skills Lab and Full Faith Ministries Food Panty in Holiday Island.

  • Carving It Up: Watch live demonstrations as 20 master chainsaw carvers transform ordinary logs into extraordinary works of art, including bears, eagles, sasquatches, and more!
