NWA Council Initiates Collaboration Among U.S. Cities Experiencing Rapid Growth

Northwest Arkansas, Colorado Springs, Greater Chattanooga, and Missoula have launched the Coalition of Hip Hideaways, a collective of distinct communities across the country collaborating to foster intentional growth.

  • Proactive Planning: The Coalition was initiated by the NWA Council, aiming to learn from and cultivate best practices with other communities experiencing the same explosive growth as major city populations flock to rural communities in search of better work-life balance and affordability.

  • Keeping It Cool: Defining a “Hip Hideaway” as a place that offers the amenities of a larger metro while maintaining that small-town charm, the Coalition will develop proactive growth strategies around affordability, housing, infrastructure, and job creation while prioritizing the preservation of each community’s unique cultural identity.

What a short video explaining the Hip Hideaway Coalition HERE.

NWA Kiva Hub Celebrates Raising $1M In Interest-Free Loans For Local Entrepreneurs

Northwest Arkansas Kiva Hub will host a $1M Milestone Celebration at TheatreSquared on Thursday, Feb 22, at 6p, honoring the borrowers, lenders, and community partners who played a role in providing over a million dollars in interest-free loans to over 100 local entrepreneurs.

  • Local Lending: Startup Junkie launched the state’s first Kiva Hub in December 2019, giving local entrepreneurs and small business owners access to no-fee, no-interest microloans of up to $15,000. Set Your Tastebuds Soaring At El Chefe’s Springdale Airport Location

NWA Daily

By wheels or wings, El Chefe Mexican Cuisine will take you on a trip to Flavor Town with its menu of incredible flavors out of its food truck or permanent location in the Springdale municipal airport.

  • The Fly By: The Gonzalez family opened its brick-and-mortar location on the upper floor of the Springdale Airport last September, and while it might not be easy to find, you’ll easily find your way back for plenty more visits after your first time.

  • Land Your Appetite: The constant flow of small planes taking off and landing right outside the window makes for a fun vibe. We feasted on the Triple OG, a 14 in. triple stack quesadilla stuffed with steak, chorizo avocado, and crema — perfect for splitting unless you’ve got a big appetite.

Set your mouth watering with a look at some of their dishes HERE.
