America’s fastest-growing sport is making its way to one of America’s fastest-growing communities! Yesterday, United Soccer League and USL Arkansas announced a partnership to form the region’s first-ever professional men's and women's soccer club.

  • The League: The USL Championship League, featuring 24 men's professional teams, has gained recognition for its complete youth-to-pro pathways and averages 5000+ attendees per match. With the USL Super League launching in 2024, the league will also make world-class women's soccer more accessible.

  • The Venue: Led by former USL player Chris Martinovic and professional sports leader Warren Smith, this historic partnership aims to unite the community around world-class soccer and a state-of-the-art, 5,000+ seat stadium to be built in the heart of Roger’s Pinnacle Hills entertainment district.

The Inspiring Story Behind Fayetteville’s Casa Jovero Market

Casa Jovero Market

Casa Jovero Market opened last month in Fayetteville, and the owner’s story is one of resilience and success in the face of adversity. Rachell-Sanchez Smith recently highlighted the story on Ozarks at Large.

  • Resilience: Orphaned in rural Guanajuato, MX, Jose Rodriguez faced challenges but never gave up. From delivering milk at 12 in Mexico City to moving his family of ten to NWA with just $1000 and a dream, he now owns two restaurants and the recently-opened Casa Jovero Market.

  • Taste the inspiration: Casa Jovero is one of the few Latin-owned specialty markets in Fayetteville, offering a wide selection of peppers and specialty produce. They also serve delicious breakfast burritos and tamales daily!
